Ellington Partners, LLC, a group of southeastern investors, has announced plans to build a new luxury boutique hotel at 35 Biltmore Avenue in downtown Asheville.  A mixed-use project, The Ellington will feature 125 oversized, upscale hotel rooms, 48 condominiums, and four rooftop penthouses.  The hotel’s ninth floor will feature a restaurant, an elegant bar, a pool and a large outdoor terrace overlooking the city.  Current plans include a 2,500-square-foot ballroom with an outdoor terrace and five additional small meeting rooms on the third floor. Beneath the hotel, 189 parking spaces will be available for hotel guests and residents.
